Want my money back. Simply vanished when upgraded to 4.0!!!
Simply the best hp12c emulator. Works perfectly with os 4,3.5
I want the old style HP 12C! Who changed the way of making accounts in 12C. Please change again to the old style.
It was the best but doesnt work on iOS9
My original review gave only three stars and suggested that the free version actually seemed better at the time unless one really needed the continuous memory. In the weeks that have followed RLM has really been prompt with improving on this release. The touch pad is much improved, and new attractive features have been added, including the the ability to save and recall program memory into separate files. On top of it all, the free version is no longer free, and has been hobbled in some ways. This is now well worth the price for fans of the original calculator, especially given that RLM is tossing in their desktop simulator for free--itself a 16 buck value. Along with the several other excellent HP calc simulators in the AppStore (e.g., i41cxp and the various Voyageur simulators by Tom Fors), this is "must have" for anyone who loves vintage HP RPN computing. RLM really deserves a lot of credit for prompt attention to bugs and rapid turnaround time--Ricardo has always replied to me promptly whenever I have had questions and concerns.
As I use the real 12C for my work, I was very pleased when it started showing up on the app store. This is my favorite version on the iphone. At first the response was extremely slow, to the point it wasnt worth using, but that has long since been fixed. Love it!
This calculator cant do apr and is bugging each time with fv and pv i want to be refound
Crashes...it needs an update!
I have had to load this app several times due to it crashing and going blank on the screen. After the 4th time, I have decided to go a different direction.
This application goes blank on the screen. So far, I have not received my money back. I have complained to both Apple and to the developer.
This was an amazing calculator before the latest update. I never had a single issue or problem. I am a financial analyst and I use it all the time. However, this update crashes constantly. Also, one of the main reasons I purchased the app was because it matched my actual HP 12-C. I dont like the revised look (even if it didnt crash). Please put the old version back and I will change my review to a 5 star. One more note....I downloaded the desktop version and I use it constantly as my desktop calculator...***** 5 stars on the desktop version
A couple of the functions dont work. Immediate update required to address these glitches.
DO NOT BUY THIS APP. This calculator *used* to be decent--a few bugs, but decent nonetheless--before the version posted on Dec. 21, 2010. As numerous reviewers have already noted, the update basically broke the app for everyone. The developer has been notified multiple times by multiple parties (including me), with no response whatsoever. DO NOT SUPPORT DEVELOPERS THAT IGNORE THEIR CUSTOMERS. R.L.M., you should be ashamed of yourself. You are basically cheating your customers. Apple, you should remove deadbeat developers like this and ban their apps from the App Store forever. It reflects poorly on the user experience. To sum it up: This app and its developer are a great big #FAIL. UPDATE 2011-03-16: App updated as of Mar. 14 and its *still* broken! Either this developer doesnt read his reviews or hes a complete idiot. DO NOT BUY THIS APP.
(1) The keyboard responds erratically to my attempts to put in data—sometimes it takes the datum; sometimes it just sits there. Sometimes a soft touch seems to do it; sometimes it holds out for strong pressure; sometimes strong pressure is rejected. The decimal point seems particularly erratic. That is the case even for those options that have generally worked. I do not have problems with my keyboard for other apps. (2) OPT > DATES does not work for me. I tried the exact example in the Quick Help and I got “-120”. I am not sure where I was supposed to be starting from in the example, or whether it matters. The method of inputting described I find to be very unintuitive. That combined with the erratic keyboard makes this option particularly frustrating. (3) OPT > Amortization Table takes me to a table of all zeros (except Grouping Periods which is 12). Grouping periods responds erratically to my attempt to change it. (4) On this calculator, 2 plus 3 = 6. (5) The developer’s promised support “complete answers in less than 48 hours” has turned into 27 days and counting.
Having become accustom to my trusty 12C, I think this is a wonderful implementation of a calculator. I just wish that there was a iPad version that I dont have to use a zoomed in version of the iPhone app (by pressing the "2x" button when running it on my iPad). But with that minor caveat, I really like this app.
Ive used this for a while now and have had no problems with anything that i do. As far as I can tell, it functions just like my real one.
Before I settled on this IPhone 12C app I shopped and compared all I could find. I chose this one based upon function, added new capability, looks and price. I figured if it did not measure up I could always just try another one since its cheap. I LOVE this one. Ive used a regular 12C for decades so I know them. I own two, and I still use this app every day. Worth it. I hope they do the HP41CX.
Version 5.0 makes this financial calculator the best available and it works on the iPad and the the iPhone. I no longer carry the actual calculator. This app has numerous features far beyond the physical HP 12C, and the help notes are very very useful. Wonderful app!!! BTW, the quality of the actual HP calculator has deteriorated significantly. I would no longer buy it.
